About Changemaker Hakim

As the co-founder Aid You, Hakim is a health rights activist in Uganda. His project is a community-based initiative that democratizes heart health information and enhances accessibility to heart health care services. In 2018, the World Health Organization highlighted that malaria is one of the leading causes of death to children under 5years. This is directly reflected in his home district Kalangala. He runs awareness campaigns with household on the prevention and protection from Malaria. This door to door campaign is to sensitize the locals about preventive measures of malaria and also reach out to various stakeholders to ensure that the medical facilities are well equipped and have the appropriate drugs to treat malaria.
