About Changemaker Deepa Pandey

In Deepa's community, there is a taboo on the topic of menstruation. Therefore, there is a lack of information and understanding on menstruation hygiene and sanitation. This increases the risk of health problems, school drop-out, poor academic performance, and overall poor quality of life. Deepa hopes to raise awareness about menstruation and safe hygiene practices by organizing trainings and workshops on this topic. This is done through the school health program. She hopes to help educate at least 200 children!
