Vidhi's project: Beyond The Bounds

In Vidhi’s society there are many problems such as unemployment, poverty, discrimination etc., which can worsen people’s mental health. At the same time, in her community, mental health is seen as a taboo therefore it becomes very difficult for children to seek help. She wants to distribute self-help guides in schools and colleges, guides that will contain information about mental health issues, how to identify them and how to overcome them. Vidhi would also like to do an online campaign to encourage children to speak up and break the stigma surrounding mental health. At the same time, an online peer support group will be set and workshops on the role of study skills, building self-esteem and on being assertive will be conducted.
