Getrude's project: Peace for All

Getrude and her team wish to put an end to the systemic cross border violence in her community by organize awareness workshops to sensitize the youths on the dangers of smuggling riffles and ammunitions and involving the raids. Children experience terror, and violence extremism on a daily basis. As victims of raids attacks, they lose their lives, become injured or traumatized and are forced to flee their homes. Children see their villages burned to the ground and families torn apart. This criminals groups target vulnerable young people and recruit them to become warriers and raiders brides. She wishes to ncrease awareness, and self-dependency, which can be achieved primarily through sensitization and education. She will also create a special team of youth groups and raise awareness through peer educators.
